Michael Mowat

Consultant (Retail & Consumer)

Michael is a Consultant in PwC’s Retail and Consumer practice with over 15 years’ experience. He sits on PwC UK supply chain leadership team, led supply chain strategy team and is currently researching the future role of warehousing. He has done extensive work end to end in clients’ supply chains and assists them with developing and executing supply chain strategic transformations. At the heart of these projects is the digital agenda and he speaks regularly on the disrupters and their relevance to companies. He led the pilot for PwC‘s supply chain opportunity and optimisation platform (SCOOP) with a UK General Merchandiser which provides over ten different supply chain applications using analytics to help companies make better real-time decisions. Most recently he has been assisting a Global Retailer to develop their supply chain vision and implementation plan for a five-year programme of change. 


Andy Gulliford

Chief Operating Officer

Andy Gulliford has been at SEGRO since 2004. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in November 2011 with responsibility for the Group's operational property teams both in the UK and Continental Europe. Andy's role is to oversee the maximisation of total property return from the portfolio and is accountable for the Group's relationship of its 1,200 customers, leasing and asset management activities as well as the Group's development programme. Andy was previously Managing Director, Continental Europe for two years. Prior to this he was Director of Corporate Acquisitions, a role in which he was responsible for major transactions in the UK. He went on to become Business Development Director, responsible for identifying opportunities for SEGRO in new markets and developing new customer relationships.


Richard Gifford


Richard Gifford is responsible for driving the IT and digitized strategy for Wincanton. He is also responsible for ensuring that IT continues to support Wincanton’s successful growth and operational requirements. He is based at the company’s head office in Chippenham. Prior to Wincanton Richard worked for Carillion plc where he was been CIO of their Construction Services and Group business units having previously held senior IT positions in other large plc and public sector organizations. Technology and innovation are at the heart of Wincanton’s business and as the supply chain becomes more digitized Richard is in a pivotal role. With his wealth of experience and enthusiasm, Richard’s goal is to make Wincanton a leader in the digitized supply chain.


Jorge Gouveia de Oliveira

Managing Director

Based in London, Jorge Gouveia de Oliveira is a member of the firm’s Industrial and Natural Resources sector. Jorge specializes in executive and board searches and is a highly trusted advisor for many industrial companies worldwide. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Jorge served as a consultant with another executive search firm for more than seven years. In that role, he led the Global Metals and Mining Practice and established their Supply Chain and Procurement Practice in the UK. He has extensive experience in executive assessment and a focus on advising clients on leadership strategies to bridge the technology and industry divide. Before that role, Jorge led corporate development for Nyrstar leading to the company’s listing. Earlier in his career, Jorge held various senior Corporate Finance roles at Monitor Group, Credit Suisse First Boston, JP Capital International and JPMorgan Chase.

Nick Eades

Chief Marketing Officer

Nick is the Chief Marketing Officer at Wincanton, joining in September 2016 and with responsibility for all aspects of Marketing, both within the sectors, as well as at Group level. In a career with market-leading companies in technology, telecoms and financial services, he has lead overall strategy, proposition development, partner programmes, as well as brand and all aspects of media. These companies include IBM, Dell and BT as well as a number of high growth, privately-held services businesses. He has won several B2B Marketing awards and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a member of the Executive Management Team.”


Johnathon Marshall


Johnathon Marshall is a Partner at PwC where he is an active member of the Operations Leadership team, with specific responsibility for running the UK Supply Chain Team. He has over 15 years consulting experience during which time he has focused on the challenges facing procurement and supply chain teams across a range of global industry players. In his role leading PwC’s European pharmaceutical supply chain community, he has worked with clients and colleagues to develop critical and engaging analysis on the evolution of the sector and the role supply chain needs to play in the provision of healthcare whilst remaining focused on the legal, fiscal and regulatory needs. Johnathon has worked on a range of complex and high profile program’s during his consulting career, from the National Program for IT, looking to transform healthcare IT systems to Global Supply Chain operating model changes, impacting in excess of 100 countries.

With the pace of technological change, this role is more important now than ever before. James has worked at Zebra Technologies for over 18 years [through various acquisitions; Symbol, Motorola and now Zebra]. As EMEA CTO James acts as the technology lead in the region representing how industries operate and the needs of the region’s users within the technology office to ensure that products and innovations from Zebra are designed and built with a global voice in mind.

Robert Garratt is an Executive Partner in IBM's global consulting business and a leader in its Digital Supply Chain practice. Following an early career in engineering design he joined PWC Consulting which was later acquired by IBM,   Robert has worked worldwide on projects related to supply chain strategy, operational improvement and technology implementation.  His clients have spanned the consumer products, retail, manufacturing and energy industries.  Most recently he has led parts of IBM's business in global oil majors and automotive companies.  He currently leads its Process Transformation practice for the UK Industrial sector, which focusses on the potential for Cognitive technology to improve business performance.
